🌶️✨About FOTA
Flavours of Thai Independent Animation (FOTA) is a curated catalogue initiative co-organised by Klowerº and Graphy Animation, with support from a-cabinet in its initiative year (2024-2025), aiming to expand the visibility of Thai independent animation both locally and internationally. Through curated film selections, public programs, online catalogs, and participation in international festivals and animation markets, FOTA introduces diverse Thai voices, storytelling, and artistic styles to wider audiences.
The project was presented at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, in the MIFA, both in 2024 and 2025, where selected Thai independent animations were promoted to international festival programmers, distributors, and animation communities. FOTA’s participation at MIFA 2025 was supported through the French Team Fund Creation 2024–2025 in collaboration with the Embassy of France in Thailand, as well as DEPA and DITP. FOTA also developed an online catalogue through SiamANIMA to create an accessible showcase of contemporary Thai independent animation.
The project not only supports the international presence of Thai independent animation but also encourages local audiences in Thailand to discover, engage with, and better understand the richness of Thai animated storytelling in everyday cultural contexts. By connecting Thai creators with both local and global audiences, FOTA hopes to open conversations around identity, culture, and contemporary perspectives while increasing opportunities for Thai works to be recognised on the world stage.
In Thailand, screenings and public presentations of films from the FOTA catalogue are facilitated through SiamANIMA as a connecting platform for partner organisations, cultural spaces, and communities interested in presenting Thai independent animation. Klowerº and Graphy Animation additionally provide consultation and support for accompanying activities such as artist talks, discussions, and workshops for children and communities that connect with themes explored in the films.

Flavours of Thai Independent Animation (FOTA) เป็นโครงการแคตตาล็อกภาพยนตร์แอนิเมชันคัดสรร ที่ร่วมจัดโดย Klowerº และ Graphy Animation และร่วมมือกับ a-cabinet ด้วยในช่วงแรกของโครงการ (2024-2025)
FOTA มีเป้าหมายในการขยายการรับรู้และการเข้าถึงของแอนิเมชันอิสระไทย ทั้งในระดับประเทศและนานาชาติ ผ่านการคัดเลือกภาพยนตร์ จัดโปรแกรมฉายสาธารณะ จัดทำแคตตาล็อกออนไลน์ และการเข้าร่วมเทศกาลภาพยนตร์และตลาดแอนิเมชันนานาชาติ เพื่อ นำเสนอสุ้มเสียง เรื่องเล่า และรูปแบบทางศิลปะอันหลากหลายของแอนิเมชันไทยสู่ผู้ชมในวงกว้าง
โครงการนี้ได้เข้าร่วมตลาดภาพยนตร์อย่าง MIFA ในงาน Annecy International Animation Film Festival ทั้งในปี 2024 และ 2025 โดยได้ทำการเผยแพร่ผลงานแอนิเมชันอิสระไทย แก่โปรแกรมเมอร์เทศกาล ผู้จัดจำหน่าย และเครือข่ายแอนิเมชันจากนานาชาติ ทีมงาน FOTA เดินทางไปเข้าร่วม MIFA ในปี 2025 โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนผ่านโครงการ French Team Fund Creation 2024–2025 ร่วมกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฝรั่งเศสประจำประเทศไทย และองค์กรสนับสนุนจากรัฐบาลไทยอย่าง DEPA และ DITP อีกด้วย
นอกจากนี้ FOTA ยังได้พัฒนาแคตตาล็อกออนไลน์ผ่าน SiamANIMA เพื่อเป็นพื้นที่เผยแพร่และเข้าถึงข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับแอนิเมชันอิสระไทยร่วมสมัยได้อย่างสะดวกมากยิ่งขึ้น
โครงการนี้ไม่เพียงแต่สนับสนุนการสร้างพื้นที่ในระดับนานาชาติให้กับแอนิเมชันอิสระไทยเท่านั้น แต่ยังมุ่งส่งเสริมให้ผู้ชมในประเทศไทยได้ค้นพบ มีส่วนร่วม และเข้าใจความหลากหลายของการเล่าเรื่องผ่านแอนิเมชันไทยในบริบทวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัยมากยิ่งขึ้น FOTA เชื่อมโยงผู้สร้างสรรค์ชาวไทยเข้ากับผู้ชมทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ ด้วยความหวังที่จะเปิดบทสนทนาเกี่ยวกับอัตลักษณ์ วัฒนธรรม และมุมมองร่วมสมัย พร้อมทั้งเพิ่มโอกาสให้ผลงานจากไทยได้รับการยอมรับในเวทีโลก
ในประเทศไทย การจัดฉายและการนำเสนอผลงานจากแคตตาล็อก FOTA ดำเนินการผ่าน SiamANIMA ซึ่งทำหน้าที่เป็นแพลตฟอร์มเชื่อมต่อระหว่างองค์กรพันธมิตร พื้นที่วัฒนธรรม และชุมชนที่สนใจนำเสนอแอนิเมชันอิสระไทย ขณะเดียวกัน Klowerº และ Graphy Animation ยังให้คำปรึกษาและสนับสนุนกิจกรรมประกอบต่าง ๆ เช่น การพูดคุยกับศิลปิน เสวนา และเวิร์กชอปสำหรับเด็กและชุมชน ที่เชื่อมโยงกับประเด็นและเนื้อหาที่ปรากฏในภาพยนตร์
