Bangkok is one of the liveliest but the busiest city. This is the film that record Bangkok Silence which is a rare feeling to experience nowadays. In spite of the city noise, there is always a silence corner waiting to be found.

Director Statement

The film is made for Art of Experience Class, COMMDE Chula Year 2 and challenging to do research and animation in 24 hours (which left 6 hours only for animating and editing.) The sound in this animation is recorded during walking and researching around Siam and Samyan which believe to be the busiest downtown area. Before giving up trying to find the silence in the area, I ended up in Wat Hua Lamphong where I experience the calm quiet place and see the frame and pacing of the animation.

Khwansubhanut Banlunara

Kawakhwan, or Khwan for short, is a Commde Illustrator, motion graphic designer, and animator who recently graduated. Always looking for inspiration in everyday life, legends, stories as well as fantasy ways that reflect the concept.

The art style was inspired by Western sharp-edge graphics and illustrations from the 1940s to the 1960s with a noir, mysterious vibe storytelling, but they were brought to life through animation which she loves doing it.
