Little Angel
The story of a little girl in a troubled family. With the understanding that she’s a “little angel” of her parents. So she tries everything to be the “bright one” of her family.
Director Statement
The Little Angel is a project that began with a question about love and domestic violence. Strangely, the place that should be the safest home often harbors violence so frequently that it has become a regular topic in news reports. This led our team to question: why do relationships that begin with “love” end in such painful “division” and even brutal harm?
We began researching and studying real-life cases to uncover the underlying causes. One particularly heartbreaking yet revealing insight was that every parent was once a child often a child who inherited violence from their own parents. This made us realize that the ones who suffer the most from domestic violence are the children, the unlucky ones whose family is their entire world.
This is why we chose to center our story around a young girl, using her innocence to reflect the bleakness of her life. Through her eyes, we portray the harsh reality of growing up in a violent household. We firmly believe that every child’s first dream is to be “loved by their parents”—but tragically, for some, that dream can only exist in their imagination.
