About
SiamANIMA, or the Siam International Animation Festival, is Thailand’s platform for auteur animations driven by a unique voice, artistic clarity, and a bold exploration of the medium’s boundaries. We warmly welcome short animations from Southeast Asia and beyond, which exemplify excellence in content, technique, and perspective.
More than a showcase, SiamANIMA aims to build a community-led movement to connect Southeast Asian creators with global animation scenes. In this special time and space, creators, audiences and supporters are invited to come together to exchange experiences and celebrate the power of animation as an art form rooted in social and cultural life— art that resonates, challenges, and inspires reflection on ourselves and others. Embracing the interdisciplinary nature of artistic animation practices, the festival seeks to unite through the act of breathing lives into art.
A festival is nothing without its people, so save the date and join us at the venue for screenings, workshops, masterclasses, activities, art markets, and much more! : )
Let communities connect. 🧩✨
Let animation breathe. 🤍
Team & Support
SiamANIMA grew out of the Beyond Animation Festival, which was organized by the French Embassy in Thailand from 2022 to 2024, and is now presented by by Klower°, Graphy Animation, and our dedicated Thai organizing teams, in collaboration with our main partners: the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of France in Thailand Sawasdee France, and Alliance Française de Chiang Maï, the Thai Film Archive, Purin Pictures and Digital Art, Rangsit University.

Core team
Keawalee Warutkomain (Klowerº) – SiamANIMA’s Festival Director
Wardphan Diloksambandh (Klowerº) – SiamANIMA’s Festival Director
Thanut Rujitanont (Graphy Animation) – Festival Producer and Programming Director of SiamANIMA.

Klowerº is an Animation + Sound artist, married in both life and work, who wants to create their own kind of lucky ‘clover’.
Klowerº is committed to support independent artists in Thailand by cultivating a community, where diverse experiences—both in ‘story’ and ‘telling’— are shared and explored. We invite audiences and artists to rethink what ‘animation’ can be. Through collaboration with interdisciplinary artists and performative practices, we approach animation as a ‘medium’ of exploration and reflection. By creating various events that spark dialogue and emphasising the significance of what unfolds ‘in-between’ the journey, we shift the focus from outcomes to process, treating the path itself as the real ‘destination’. Klowerº believes that art making is a powerful way to connect—with oneself, with others and with the world.

Thanut Rujitanont, born in 1993 in Bangkok, founded Graphy Animation in 2021, a company dedicated to fostering animation culture in Thailand.
1st SiamANIMA: Our Journey
In 2025, SiamANIMA, the 1st edition, is taking the first step toward launching a meaningful animation festival. Scheduled for September 10th-21st at the Thai Film Archive and other venues in Thailand, the festival marks the moment when animation culture is not just expanding, but also carving out its own identity.
Even prior to the upcoming festival, the organising team has been fully energized to share our enthusiasm through a series of vibrant activities and collaborations.
Between 2021 and 2022, Klowerº and Graphy Animation embarked on their first collaborative project, The Art of Immersive Storytelling: Making Moving Image Tells (เมื่อเรื่องเล่าขยับได้), an online exhibition for the Creative Economy Agency (CEA), in partnership with the Digital Art Department at Rangsit University. The collaboration continued with the the first edition of the animation workshop, ในทางกลับกัน…Animation in the other way round.
This shared journey led them to join Beyond Animation 2022 in the online talk project, Alice Saey: Animation, Music, and the Art of Immersive Storytelling, strongly supported by the French Embassy in Thailand. Since then, a series of animation events with long-term partners has emerged. One of the most recent is the third edition of the animation workshop, ในทางกลับกัน… Animation in the Other Way Round, proudly held in partnership with Museum Siam, an interactive museum dedicated to the history and culture of Thailand.
In 2024, Thai Flavours of Independent Animation (FOTA), our catalogue of short independent animations, was presented at the Thai Pavilion during the Film Market at the Annecy International Film Festival in France. At the beginning of 2025, we hosted 10-Second Animation Micro Screening (10SAMS), a special gathering event that saw overwhelming participation from lively and enthusiastic attendees.
These milestones clearly highlight the growth of Thailand’s exceptional works and animation community—both locally and internationally.
At the heart of our vision are auteur-driven animations, guiding every step of our journey. Our goal is to connect Thai animation with the wider Southeast Asian animation community, and, in time, leave our mark on the global animation landscape.
