Siam International Animation Festival, or SiamANIMA,
is an international animation festival that brings together works from around the world from experimental and contemporary animations to narrative pieces told through unique perspectives.

We celebrate diversity in styles, techniques, and ideas, creating an open space for sharing between creators and audiences.

The festival is rooted in the belief that “connection” is at the heart of creativity whether it’s the connection between artists and viewers, or between cultures and lived experiences. We believe that when people come together with open minds and open hearts, this shared space can lead to new opportunities, deeper learning beyond textbooks, unexpected inspiration, and a broader worldview.

SiamANIMA is more than just a festival for screening animated films.🤔🎥🎞️
It is a space for friendship, creative exploration, and shared growth among those who are passionate about storytelling through animation and moving images in all their forms. : )

We aim to present what animation can be in all its diverse forms.

From bold experimental works and abstract visuals to mixed-media projects and thought-provoking ideas that push the boundaries of what animation can express, SiamANIMA is a place to discover, explore, and be surprised.🥳

We curate a wide range of works from emerging talents, independent creators, to filmmakers from around the world who use animation as a tool to express deeply personal stories, emotions, dreams, memories, and reflections on society, politics, and contemporary culture.

SiamANIMA is a space where artists and audiences come together to explore new meanings of moving images and perhaps, see a reflection of something within themselves.
It’s also a space to connect, to have conversations, and to meet others who share a love for animation in all its forms.🙌💖

We don’t see animation as something that exists only for entertainment.
We see it as a language, a way of thinking, questioning, connecting, and expanding perspectives.

Whether you’re a creator, an artist, a student, a thinker, or simply someone who wants to step out of the house to watch something different, this is a space where you can discover new points of view, find inspiration, and connect with people who believe in the power of storytelling through animation.

Even though there are many talented animation creators around the world,
their work often goes unseen and lacking the platform, the stage, or even the chance for audiences to decide for themselves whether they want to watch it.

That’s what inspired us to start something of our own.✨

From a small group of people who love storytelling through moving images, we slowly built this festival a space of possibilities where every kind of animation, every perspective, every bold experiment is not only welcomed, but celebrated.

SiamANIMA wasn’t born from big funding or corporate strategy,
but from a quiet intention to create a place where all forms of animation can take their rightful place in the world.

Siam International Animation Festival หรือ SiamANIMA
คือเทศกาลแอนิเมชันนานาชาติที่เปิดพื้นที่ให้ผลงานจากทั่วโลกได้มาพบกัน ทั้งแอนิเมชันทดลอง แอนิเมชันร่วมสมัย และงานที่เล่าเรื่องจากมุมมองที่แตกต่าง

เราให้ความสำคัญกับความหลากหลายทางสไตล์ เทคนิค และแนวคิด เพื่อสร้างบทสนทนาระหว่างผู้สร้างและผู้ชมอย่างเปิดกว้าง

เทศกาลนี้เกิดจากความเชื่อว่า “การเชื่อมโยง” คือหัวใจของการสร้างสรรค์ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการเชื่อมโยงระหว่างศิลปินกับผู้ชม ระหว่างวัฒนธรรมกับประสบการณ์ เราเชื่อว่าเมื่อผู้คนได้มาเจอกันได้เปิดใจ ได้แลกเปลี่ยน พื้นที่ตรงนี้จะนำไปสู่โอกาสใหม่ ๆ การเรียนรู้ที่มากกว่าในตำรา แรงบันดาลใจที่ไม่คาดคิด และจะเป็นอีกประตูหนึ่งที่เปิดโลกทัศน์ให้กว้างขึ้น

เราอยากนำเสนอ “ความเป็นไปได้ของแอนิเมชัน” ในหลากหลายรูปแบบ

ทั้งงานทดลองสุดล้ำ งานแนวอาร์ต งาน abstract หรืองานแอนิเมชันที่ผสมผสานสื่อหลากชนิด ไปจนถึงการลงมือทำโปรเจกต์ที่ท้าทายขอบเขตของแอนิเมชันและแนวความคิดใหม่ ๆ ให้ได้ค้นหาภายในงาน 🥳

เราคัดสรรผลงานที่หลากหลาย ทั้งจากศิลปินหน้าใหม่ ศิลปินอิสระ และผู้กำกับจากทั่วโลก ที่ใช้แอนิเมชันเป็นเครื่องมือสื่อสารเรื่องราว ตั้งแต่เรื่องส่วนตัว บันทึกความรู้สึก ความฝัน ความทรงจำ ไปจนถึงประเด็นทางสังคม การเมือง และวัฒนธรรม

SiamANIMA จึงเป็นพื้นที่ที่ศิลปินและผู้ชมสามารถสำรวจความหมายใหม่ ๆ ของภาพเคลื่อนไหวที่อาจจะสะท้อนอะไรบางอย่างในตัวของคุณ และได้พูดคุยกับเพื่อนพ้องที่รักแอนิเมชันด้วยกัน🙌💖

เราไม่จำกัดแอนิเมชันให้อยู่เพียงในกรอบของความบันเทิงเท่านั้น แต่มองว่ามันคือภาษาหนึ่งของมนุษย์ เป็นพื้นที่สำหรับการทดลองความคิด การตั้งคำถาม การเชื่อมโยง และการเปิดโลกทัศน์
ไม่ว่าคุณจะเป็นผู้สร้าง ศิลปิน นักศึกษา นักคิด หรือแค่คนดูที่อยากลองออกจากบ้านเพื่อมาดูแอนิเมชันสักเรื่อง

ที่นี่คือที่ที่คุณจะได้พบกับมุมมองใหม่ ๆ ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจ และได้เชื่อมโยงกับผู้คนที่เชื่อในพลังของการเล่าเรื่องไปด้วยกัน

แม้จะมีคนทำแอนิเมชันเก่ง ๆ มากมายบนโลกใบนี้ แต่หลายครั้ง ผลงานเหล่านั้นกลับไม่มีพื้นที่ ไม่มีเวที หรือไม่มีกระทั่งโอกาสให้คนดูได้ตัดสินใจว่าอยากดูหรือไม่

นั่นคือสิ่งที่จุดประกายให้พวกเราลงมือทำ✨

จากกลุ่มคนเล็ก ๆ ที่รักในการเล่าเรื่องผ่านภาพเคลื่อนไหว พวกเราค่อย ๆ ก่อร่างสร้างเทศกาลนี้ขึ้นมา เพื่อเป็นพื้นที่แห่งความเป็นไปได้ ที่ซึ่งแอนิเมชันทุกแบบ ทุกมุมมอง ทุกความกล้าหาญ จะถูกเฉลิมฉลอง

SiamANIMA ไม่ได้เกิดจากทุนใหญ่ หรือกลุ่มทางธุรกิจ แต่เกิดจากความตั้งใจเล็ก ๆ ที่อยากเห็นแอนิเมชันทุกรูปแบบมีที่ยืนบนโลก

และเราหวังว่า SiamANIMA จะเป็นหนึ่งในแรงขับเล็ก ๆ ที่พาแอนิเมชันออกไปโลดแล่นบนเวทีโลก และเปิดทางให้เกิดมิตรภาพใหม่ ๆ บนเส้นทางที่เราทุกคนจะได้เติบโตไปด้วยกัน💖🌍🌱
